This piece was inspired by time spent in the mountains on the east side of the Flat Tops Wilderness. A light dusting of snow from an overnight storm blanketed the landscape. The day was overcast, but a patch of sunlight illuminated a stand of golden aspens in the middle distance, creating a striking contrast.
